Develop High-Reliability Embedded Software and Real-Time Systems for Advanced Land Systems and Precision Defense Engineering

Join L&T Precision Engineering & Systems as a Software Engineer within the Design & Development Center (D&DC Land Systems) in Mumbai. In this role, you will design, develop, and integrate mission-critical embedded software, real-time operating system applications, and inter-process communication protocols for complex defense hardware platforms. You will write high-performance C/C++ code, implement built-in diagnostic systems, and perform root-cause analysis on multi-threaded distributed architectures across various serial and fieldbus interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop low-level embedded software, drivers, and user interfaces using C, C++, and Qt for Land Systems applications.
  • Develop and debug multi-threaded and multi-process software in real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, QNX).
  • Implement communication protocols over physical layer interfaces including Serial, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, NMEA, and ModBus.
  • Perform system analysis, root-cause diagnostics, and bug fixes for complex distributed systems and on-site operational issues.
  • Design built-in diagnostics and test frameworks to optimize software reliability, system supportability, and scalability.
