Design, Develop, and Validate Mechanical Structures and Enclosures for Air-Conditioner Indoor Units

Join Carrier as a Design Engineer (Indoor) in Pathum Thani, Thailand. Operating within the residential and commercial HVAC manufacturing division, this entry-to-junior role focuses on end-to-end structural design and mechanical engineering for air-conditioner indoor units. You will utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to build 3D CAD models, execute structural testing, perform cost-optimization analyses, and support new product development (NPD) projects from concept through validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, model, and detail indoor unit mechanical structures, enclosures, and component assemblies using 3D CAD software.
• Conduct structural performance testing, mechanical stress analysis, and validation routines to meet reliability standards.
• Perform component cost analyses and value engineering (VA/VE) to optimize structural manufacturing costs.
• Support new product development (NPD) project pipelines, driving designs from conceptual layout through prototype testing.
• Ensure structural component designs align with company quality benchmarks, manufacturability guidelines, and safety standards.
