Design, Program, and Integrate Advanced Industrial Automation, PLC/SCADA Systems, and Robotics for Smart Manufacturing Operations

Join Carrier Global Corporation as an Automation Engineer in Fort Worth, TX. In this hands-on smart-manufacturing role, you will design, program, and maintain automated equipment, control architectures, and industrial robotics across the facility. Working closely with manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and IT teams, you will troubleshoot PLC/SCADA control faults, integrate machine vision systems, drive operational productivity, and advance Industry 4.0 / IIoT connectivity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and deploy industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA platforms, robotics, and machine vision systems.
  • Integrate, tune, and scale automated machinery and robotic cells across active manufacturing production lines.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex electrical, network, and software control system faults to minimize operational downtime.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance teams to lead control system upgrades and equipment retrofits.
  • Develop standardized engineering documentation, including control programs, operating standards, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
  • Support smart-factory and Industry 4.0 digital initiatives, connecting shop-floor equipment to enterprise IIoT data networks.

  • PLC & HMI Platforms: Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation, Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, HMI Development Interfaces
  • Robotics & Motion Control: FANUC, KUKA Industrial Robots, Servo Drives, Motion Controllers
